Full height turnstile installation manual

The correct installation of the full height turnstile is essential. The key to all this is the horizontal concrete pad. No asphalt. We provide customers with revolving doors and installation instructions, so you will know exactly what surface you need to ensure a safe and reliable installation.

Your turnstile pad must be concrete, at least 4 inches thick, horizontal or + or – .125 (3.1mm). We will provide all necessary anchors and fasteners. If your score exceeds this level, you will risk the pizza ramp...that would be bad.

In extreme cases, you can consider grouting the foundation like this excellent installation method. In this case, you must adjust for slopes that are not suitable for traditional turnstile installations. Here you can see our stainless steel turnstile gates are installed at a very high slope

How many turnstiles do I need?

Here are some questions to ask yourself:

1. How many exits are there in your facility (and how many special emergency exits)?

2. How many people will pass through the revolving doors in these plans in the building/property?

3. Do you need to consider shift changes? Is there a large number of people arriving at the same time (for example at a bus stop)?

4. What are the physical space limitations?

5. Do regular personnel use RFI badges or IDs to enter the building?

6. Is there a guard room with sufficient personnel to help visitors and those who need to pass?

It is important that you understand local regulations and talk to life/safety experts and local fire inspectors. These are professionals who will know the details of your property and buildings best.
