According to CCTV news, on March 1, local time, the first negotiations between Russia and Ukraine did not make progress. In addition to the concern about the war situation, the impact of the war between Russia and Ukraine on the global economy and supply chain has also affected the hearts of tens of thousands of foreign trade people.

UK bans Russian ships from docking

The latest news from the Russian satellite news agency said that the United Kingdom banned Russian ships from docking at its ports.

According to foreign media reports, one of Maersk's ships, named VAYENGA MAERSK, serves container ships on routes between Rotterdam, the largest port in Europe, and S.Petersburg, the largest port in Russia.

Since arriving from St. Petersburg on February 26, it has been denied entry to Rotterdam and has been anchored at the Rotterdam Outer Anchorage.

The EU and Russia have yet to explain why the VAYENGA MAERSK, loaded with Russian cargo, was unable to dock.

However, the encounter of another Russian ship in the UK once again verified the fact that Russian ships and ships already loaded with Russian cargo were refused port and entry.

A Russian tanker named NS CHAMPION was banned from British ports due to public protests in the UK, and the ship was also unable to dock at Flotta, the destination port in the British Orkney Islands for the same reason.

According to the original schedule, the NS CHAMPION will call at the Flotta Wharf port of Scapa Flow in the Orkney Islands, UK, but as of 1800 UTC on February 27, it is unclear whether the tanker will be allowed to call.

Meanwhile, British MP Alistair Carmichael has written to the Prime Minister calling on the British government to deny Russian ships access to British ports following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

A petition to "stop Russian merchant ships from calling at UK ports" went live on February 26, calling on the UK government and Boris Johnson to take action to stop the ship from calling at Flotta and has collected nearly 500 signatures.
