Health & Safety
Speedgates are a great way to manage attendance by monitoring who enters and leaves the premises via an access control system such as ID swipe cards or keyfobs.
This is extremely important within an environment like a school as the health and safety of pupils is paramount – so being able to account for their whereabouts at all times is crucial.
This is especially important in an instance such as an emergency like a fire alarm for example. All of our speedgates from Tongdazhi also come with an emergency release mechanism to allow users to exit easily, which can actually be linked to your fire alarm system for an automatic reaction.
They Provide a High Level of Security
Speedgates offer a secure way of protecting the entrance of your school. Not only because they require someone to authorise their access before entering, but also because they act as a deterrent to potential intruders.
As with many products in our range, the speedgates also have multiple features. One feature we have found suits schools is the optional height of the glass doors. As standard, the glass doors come 900mm in height, but we also offer 1800mm high glass which adds even more to the security, stopping users/students from trying to volt over the turnstile.

Speedgates can be integrated with any type of access control system and placed in the entrance of your main school building, as well as other locations within your school building that may be off-limits to pupils or visitors, such as offices or libraries for example.
Our speedgates offer a high throughput rate, allowing people to enter and exit quickly and seamlessly via the bi-directional design. Most of our range also protects against tailgating so that unauthorised personnel are not able to follow someone through the turnstile.
